Strava: Run, Bike, Hike App Reviews

slow

Extremely slow, even in fast wifi often takes 20-30 seconds to open, scrolling the activity feed will regularly freeze for 5-10 seconds. Using to record activities is not reliable, often loses up to half of your distance despite showing correct start/end points and overall route. Reporting the defect went nowhere. I love what Strava is, use it everday but the iOS app sucks.

nice

nice would be better support xiaomiband without original bloat ware

Turns cycling into full on addiction

If Strava ever disappeared Id throw my bike into the sea.

Strava is the best exercise app!

Strava has a seamless interface with my Garmin Fenix 3 and most of my running friends use it. It makes it easy to keep in touch. I even am able to follow the top trail runners and Olympic athletes. The only small improvement would be to improve the swimming. It should have 50m increments, not 100m for manual entry.

Friendly Competition

I have become obsessed with segments. I map out my runs to include them and love the challenge of a little bit of friendly competition. Ive never had any issues with this app. So long, Nike+ !!

Best App Ever

I use this app for my mountain biking, road riding and trail running! I cant live without it! If you havent tried it out yet, you need to start using it today...

The best

Absolutely love this app!!

Best running biking app

Strava used to be more cycling centric but have evolved the running side significantly. It has the best user experience of any running app out there today. I have a Garmin 620 but synch to Strava for leaderboard and other great features. I used runkeeper for a while as well but no longer. Strava is just too beautiful and gives me just what I need as an amateur athlete.

Club notification after starting app

After that last update, I always get notified about the club feature and the feed doesnt show. I have to force a refresh.

Excellent

Works perfectly, never had any issues with this version of the app. Best cycling and running app there is.

Best fitness app

Strava is the best fitness app available hands down.

Complety broken application on the watch

Tried to start a workout on the app 4x, in different days and the app just hangs and never load on the watch. Or if it does, the start button doesnt work. The watch application is terrible maintenaned. Dont even know how Apple approved this app. Im using an iPhone 7 and Watch Series 2.

Does what it says!

I use this on my commuting ride in so I dont need to take my Garmin and it does as advertised!

Pretty good app

Ive used Strava for a few years and like the web version best; although the upgrades to the app have made reviewing and editing useful. Still glitchy at times on iOS with background needs and shutting off partway through runs, so Ive gone back to my Garmin.

Poor Accuracy

Running 10.1.1 on an iPhone 6s. Since the last update from Strava (introducing the beacon feature), the GPS is extremely erratic and unreliable. I have deleted the app, rebooted my phone, and reinstalled the app, but to no avail. I am a premium subscriber and as such, Strava is a part of my life. Its hard to give a poor rating, but my expectations are reasonable and it is disappointing when updates cause new issues. Ill keep my fingers crossed that this issue will be resolved in the next update. Until then, Ill be forced to use my trusty old Garmin watch.

One of the best apps Ive ever used.

Only wish there wasnt a pay wall but you really dont need those features if youre a fat booger like me.

Strava rocks

This is an app that can literally change your lifestyle. Easy to use and has lots of bells and whistle. Compete against yourself, friends or other members. Fun way to work out. Love it!

Excellent cycling app

Works 99% of the time on an iPhone, great motivator

The best

Perfect training companion. It challenges you, motivates you, protect you with Beacon and gives you amazing stats. Love it!!

A great app with few problems

Love using Strava for continued motivation, and visualization of my workout. Only issue Ive had is the accuracy of elevation gain. Some runs with literally 0 meters elevation shows many meters of elevation. Some runs with more than 40 meters elevation gain shows only 5-10 meters gain. Also, comparing between users running the same route leads to quite different statistics in elevation gain or max elevation. It would be great if you could see some of the running statistics on the lock screen on the iPhone while running with it to avoid signing in to the phone while running. Lastly, It would be nice to have an option that alerts the user of a turn around time, or an alert for set distances or time (e.g. Every 1 km or 5 minutes, there is a beep). Thanks for a great app and looking forward to continued improvements!
